We All Have Different Gifts

God gives all of us different gifts and strengths to help one another. Some of us are teachers, doctors, nurses, carpenters or mechanics. Others are architects, artists, entertainers, pastors, engineers or protectors (police, fire, military). While others are veterinarians, managers, leaders and everything in between. And let’s not forget about some of the unappreciated jobs that are not in the limelight like those who maintain our homes, offices, automobiles, etc., who do the jobs that make life so much easier for us all.

What does all this have to do with a trusted financial advisor?

advisor iconI believe there are those who have a natural gift in understanding complex financial matters and how all the pieces work together to form a whole. I believe their gift should be used to help others pursue their own natural gifts.

Let me explain: let’s take a great athlete, a talented musical artist, a skilled surgeon, a successful businessman or a technological inventor. Their special gift has given them the ability to make large amounts of money, but when it comes to a natural understanding of how to manage and handle of all the pieces of their financial puzzle it becomes overwhelming.  The best use of their time, and the most profitable, is pursuing their natural talents and what they do best. Not having to keep all of their financial pieces in perfect order.

Taking Care of the Financial Pieces

A trusted financial advisor’s job is to take care of all the financial pieces of a person’s life and to assist in all major financial decisions. The trusted advisor has his own team he has put together to assist in the process that consists of a qualified and experienced CPA, bookkeeper, attorney, risk manager, certified financial planner, risk advisor, and other experts in their fields.  A trusted financial advisor may assist in any or all of the following areas on an ongoing or annual basis:

  1. Investment decisions
  2. Major purchasing decisions like a second home, vehicle, or investment property(s)
  3. Proactive tax planning to lower the burden of income taxes as much as possible
  4. Estate planning
  5. Charitable planned giving
  6. Annual and monthly budgeting
  7. Borrowing and credit decisions
  8. Risk management (auto, home, life, umbrella insurance) analysis for greatest protection against liabilities
  9. Retirement planning
  10. Financial planning
  11. Multi-generational planning
